General Information
The summit will be held at the Mt. Lebanon Retreat and Conference Center, 1701 Texas Plume Rd., Cedar Hill. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Where to Stay:

Accommodations are available at two properties in Cedar Hill, both conveniently located on U.S. Hwy. 67 in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, a short drive from the conference center. Shuttle services to and from Mt. Lebanon will be available.

The Holiday Inn Express and Suites has designated a room block at the rate of $104.99 per night. Click here to reserve rooms at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites.

An additional room block has been established at LaQuinta Inn and Suites under the name Texas Municipal League. The room rate is $105 per night. When making your reservation you must dial the hotel directly at 972-291-0008, select ‘0’ (zero) from the available menu options, then tell the representative you are booking your room for the Texas Municipal League summit.

Room rates are guaranteed through Friday, January 26, 2018, so make your reservations early!

Service Learning Project

Each attendee will have the opportunity to participate in a service learning project on Saturday, February 17, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Call for Presentations

The YAC Summit is an opportunity for YACs to share their experiences and programs and the positive impact they have had locally. We are looking to give each city attending the chance to share ideas, service projects, membership structure, or whatever makes them a great youth program in their community. Click here to learn more.

Display Table
Established YAC programs will have the opportunity to show what their program is all about. Create a display and bring examples—photos, newspaper articles, brochures, guidelines from programs, etc. Materials will be on display throughout the summit. If you are interested in a display table, please indicate so on the registration form.

City Pins
To build unity and communication between cities, the students will be encouraged to exchange city pins throughout the summit. We recommend that you bring at least 250 pins for your students to distribute.

Dress Code
All summit attendees and staff must obey the following dress code:

  • Tank tops, spaghetti strap tops, strapless tops, and tops that expose the midriff or undergarments are NOT allowed.
  • Clothing may not advertise or depict tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or any other prohibited substance.
  • Clothing may not depict gangs or signify membership in a gang.

Will I Receive TMLI Credit? 
TMLI credit will be given to elected officials attending the summit.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy
If you are registered and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $25 cancellation fee will be assessed if cancellation is emailed to acct@tml.org by January 18. No refunds will be given after this date.
